Bill High
Legacy Stone CEO
Raised in a low-income family in rural Missouri, Bill High learned early about the challenges and strength that come from a family. After losing his father at the age of 12 and watching his mother step up as a single, working mom of 6, he began recognizing the incredible generosity of God and His care for the widow and fatherless. Despite living in poverty, his family drew closer to one another, and one by one, he and his siblings encountered Christ. Through the healing process, Bill began to understand that a meaningful life isn't measured by what you accumulate, but by what you pass on.
A meaningful life isn't measured by what you accumulate, but by what you pass on.
This launched Bill into a lifelong journey of generosity, stewardship, and helping others discover God's purpose for their lives. His professional path took him from practicing law with one of Kansas City’s largest law firms to founding one of the nation’s largest Christian foundations. He discovered, along the way, that one of the greatest opportunities for impact is within the family. This conviction has led him to dedicating his life’s work to helping families build multi-generational legacies intentionally and according to God’s design, not just through wealth, but through shared mission, vision, and values.
Today, Bill serves as Founder and CEO of Legacy Stone, where he equips families, churches, and leaders to develop a biblical vision for family. At Legacy Stone, Bill lends his expertise to writing biblically based curriculums, creating practical resources, and leading workshops. He is a well-known speaker, thought-leader, and the author and co-author of several books, including The Legacy Life and Leadership NOT by the Book with David Green. Bill and his wife Brooke have been married for more than 38 years and enjoy investing in their children, grandchildren, and future generations.
